A NativityIt was lovely to visit the Methodist Church this morning and to see so many Tirlebrook families and staff. Well done to those Tirlebrook pupils who 'opened the book' and retold the story of the birth of Jesus and who sang so beautifully too! A great celebration! It was wonderful to celebrate the core values of our school today by awarding our core value medals and cups in assembly. Congratulations to all those who received an award.
Well done also to our bell ringers, bell plate ringers and choir who all performed for us today. It was fantastic as well to sing some songs from our iSingPOP! Christmas concerts. It was also time for us to say thank you and to celebrate Mrs Mills' time at Tirlebrook and her outstanding achievements representing all our school values. We will miss her. Good luck... and don't be a stranger! Lots of families from Oak Tree Class came along to 'Stay & Play' with their children this afternoon and were welcomed in by the children. A lovely way for the children to share their learning environment with their families.
Our Year 6 pupils are spending an afternoon at the theatre, enjoying a stage production of the famous Dickens' tale of Christmas. What a great experience!
It was great to be able to open the doors of our new Nursery Class to families this morning. The children were excited to explore the new classroom and families were able to meet the staff and stay and play for a while. We are looking forward to opening in the New Year.
Many thanks to all the staff for their energy and enthusiasm throughout yesterday's party activities, food and games! A great way for the children to celebrate the season together!

The Reception Class children put on a great show for family and friends on Tuesday 13th December in the afternoon. With wonderful confidence and colourful costumes they took to the stage to tell the story of ‘A Miracle in Town’. They certainly enjoyed being in the limelight and put on a real show for the audience. Congratulations to them all, and the staff and volunteers for all their hard work behind the scenes. Merry Christmas! What an experience the children had today! A live performance of 'Beauty & the Beast'.
The pantomime - what a fantastic way for our school to participate in a great British tradition... oh, yes it was! Many thanks to our friends at the Baptist Church for hosting us on Wednesday as we performed two concerts for families and friends. The children sang with great enthusiasm and it really was a wonderful celebration of Christmas!
