Today we celebrated our Year 6 children and the many things that they have achieved and contributed whilst at Tirlebrook. We also looked back on memories of their time at Tirlebrook. Their journey through primary school is now at an end at we wish them all the best for their future education and beyond. Don’t forget to believe in yourselves and remember the power of yet! Enjoy your yearbooks! Farewell and good luck!

‘Hansel & Gretel’ - Y5 & Y6 End of Year Show Huge congratulations to our Y5 & Y6 children for their enthusiasm and energy in putting on their end of year show. What a spectacular success it was! Thank you to all the families who came along to enjoy the performances. What a great memory to look back on for years to come. The photos in the slideshow below were taken during their dress rehearsal and give a flavour of the show! Cheltenham and North Tewkesbury School Sport Awards
We are thrilled to let you know that Tirlebrook has gained a participation award for taking part in the highest number of events and competitions in the Cheltenham and North Tewkesbury School Sport Network events. A huge thank you to all the staff who have lent their support and allowed us to make this happen. Y3 & Y4 Tag Rugby – Monday 18th July
On Monday thirteen children from Year 3 and Year 4 took part in the Gloucester Primary Schools Year 3/4 Tag Rugby League Festival at The Folly in Cheltenham. The children were split into 2 teams and each team played six games. They played brilliantly with each team winning 5 out of their 6 games. Awards were given to children who displayed the School Games Values during the matches and they were nominated by the referees. A Passion band was presented to Matthew Janes and Silas Fox was presented with a T-shirt and a rugby ball for displaying all of the School Games Values. Many thanks to Mrs Assheton and Mrs Gosden for accompanying the children and cheering them on. Friday 15th July 5.30 - 8.00 pm The sun shone on Friday evening as we enjoyed the great British weather at our school summer fair. Thank you to everyone who came along and to all our amazing volunteers who worked hard to make it a success. A fantastic evening of music and dancing on Thursday: Thank you to all the staff who joined in and to all the children who came along to disco the night away. Many thanks again to our wonderful DJ Adey Mills. A great (if rather sweaty!) time was had by all.
Oak Tree Class had a fantastic time at the Interschool Athletics event on Thursday 14th July at Cheltenham College.
They worked with children from other schools to develop their throwing, catching, jumping, balancing and travelling skills. Everyone tried hard and demonstrated all of the School Games Values with special awards going to Chloe and Isaac. A massive well done to everyone in Oak Tree Class for taking part! Thank you to all the families who came along to the review meeting to celebrate the Year 6 children’s successes during their Isle of Wight residential. What a truly great experience to be able to look back on for years to come.
Year 6 performed brilliantly at Tewkesbury Abbey on Thursday afternoon as they sang about believing in themselves at the annual Year 6 Leavers’ Service. It’s hard to believe their journey through primary school is almost at an end.
We took time this week to celebrate the core values of our school – Community, Creativity, Environment & Positive Attitude – and to award with Core Value medals those pupils nominated by their peers. Core Value Cups were then awarded to those pupils who had best represented each core value throughout the term. Congratulations to all our pupils for their hard work and effort.
