Both Reception Class and Year 3 got muddy on Monday as they enjoyed time outdoors on their class trips.
There are some great photos on their class blogs! Congratulations to all the children who competed in the Cotswold Athletics Competition at the Prince of Wales Stadium on Saturday morning. They did themselves proud and showed great team spirit.
A great team effort at Tirlebrook once again - and the weather smiled down on us too!
Well done to all the children for their fantastic house spirit as they took part in a variety of activities and events. The final scores revealed that this year's Sports Day Champions were Montague House. A huge thank you to all the staff for their amazing hard work, effort and enthusiasm throughout the day. Preparations have been underway since first thing this morning - a great team effort at Tirlebrook once again!
It has been great to see so many of the children tasting different foods during our Health & Wellbeing Week. In Cherry Class this week our Year 1 children picked and washed the lettuce they grew from seed and made salad with their home grown lettuce!
Thank you all our volunteers who organised and ran the sale in school today - it was a great success!
The children had a range of gifts and cards to choose from and hopefully they will brighten someone's day with them on Sunday. Well, it's been wet in more ways than the weather at Tirlebrook today as we have been running our junior house swimming galas.
This morning the Y3 and Y4 classes competed in a number of events and the houses showed great support and enthusiasm as they cheered the competitors on. Well done to our Y6 Young Sports Leaders too as they put their skills into action helping to organise and run the event. This afternoon our Y5 and Y6 children are making a splash as they compete in their section of the house swimming competition. A massive thank you to all the staff involved too who help to ensure these opportunities are on offer here at Tirlebrook and that they run efficiently and enjoyably. Congratulations to all our pupils and their families (and the staff!) who braved the very British weather yesterday to take part in the Tirlebrook Race for Life.
In spite of the downpours it was fantastic to see the commitment and enthusiasm as the runners completed their circuits around the Vineyards. Well done and thank you to everyone who took part and for all the donations received towards Cancer Research UK. It has been wonderful to see all the classes taking part in relaxation sessions today as they tried out a range of yoga based stretches and exercises. The focus and concentration has been great!!
It has also been lovely to see our pupils spending some reflection time in Soul Space and in our Spiritual Garden. They have had time to stop, relax, breathe and to think about themselves, the world around them and the wider world. |
