Our Year 6 children (and lots of the staff!) were up bright and early this morning as they prepared to set off on their residential visit to the Isle of Wight.
By 8am we were waving them off on the first part of their journey. We hope they have a fantastic time. ![]() Year 3 have been having a brilliant time on their residential, from spending time at the Slimbridge Wetlands to orienteering and den building, from football and cricket to birthday cake and a movie!
Let's hope they have as much fun on the next part of their trip today! See Maple Class blog for more photos and info. A group of junior children had spent the afternoon with some experts learning about the internet, the world wide web and coding. They learnt new skills and had lots of their questions answered. Their enthusiasm and effort was fantastic to see.
Our Year 5 pupils were one of ten schools who spent the morning on the golf course today!
They golfed their way around ten different stations learning and practising different golf skills as they went, including chipping and driving. What a great way to spend a sunny morning. Thank you to Richard for organising the event. Our Reception Class were very excited about going on their class trip.
They had a wonderful day with Ernest Trust in the Redwood Forest School. They spent time pond dipping, going on bug hunts and finding out about minibeasts. What a great adventure they had. See their Class Blog for more info and photos. What a fantastic event and the weather was on our side!
Well done to all the children who took part, our amazing team of staff who made it all happen and to all our families who came along to enjoy the competition. Congratulations to Beauchamp House who are this year's champions! Congratulations to Sam (Captain), Christopher, Oisin, Alex, Ethan, Finley, Dylan and Charlie for representing Tirlebrook at the Kwik Cricket County Finals at Cheltenham College. They showed great team spirit and sportsmanship narrowly losing their first game and winning the next two to come second in their group.
