Gloucestershire schools have been challenged this Summer Term to get their pupils involved in the Daily Mile. We have been participating in our own version of this, the Tirlebrook Ten, for over a year now and it is becoming an embedded part of our daily practice. We, alongside the majority of other Gloucestershire schools, have signed up to participate in Active Gloucestershire’s Old Spot’s European Trot, a challenge where pupils are encouraged to raise their activity levels for ten minutes a day as they try to complete one mile.
This was launched in a whole school assembly and the children are taking up the challenge with enthusiasm.
