![]() It was great to see so many families coming along to share in the Year 4 children's review of their residential trip. They talked about their experiences, lots of awards were handed out there was singing and some parents even got involved. Congratulations on a great residential and some fantastic memories. It was lovely to welcome the author and illustrator Shoo Rayner into school today. As a published author he was able to share his storytelling skills with the children and show them about illustration too.
All the children spent time in workshops throughout the day and many produced some wonderful illustrations of their own. They came up with some interesting questions as well. He finished the day by sharing some of his newest book with us - the first audience. Thank you for an enthusing and inspiring day. Thank you to all our Oak Tree families who came along to today's 'Stay & Play' sessions. It was lovely to see the children being able to share their learning.
This morning we waved off Cherry Tree Class on their outing to Nature in Art. They were very excited as they boarded the coach and were looking forward to their day out.
Take a look at the photos below to see them getting involved with some artwork and enjoying some of the sculptures. |
