On behalf of all the staff at Tirlebrook we wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break, after yet another busy and successful term of learning.
It was wonderful to end the Spring Term by celebrating our school core values of: Creativity, Community, Environment and Positive Attitude together. Children who had been nominated by their classmates and staff were presented with core value certificates and medals for consistently representing a core value of the school throughout this term. We were also delighted to present two of the children with kindness awards.
'Hakuna matata' is a Swahili phrase that can be translated literally as "no worries" and there were certainly no worries tonight as Y3 and Y4 performed to a packed audience. Each and every one of the children contributed towards making 'Tuishi Pamoja' a show to remember! What a great show they put on together to tell a story of an unlikely friendship.
Y5 had an amazing circus experience today learning lots of new skills and revisiting historical, mathematical and scientific knowledge as well! They all tried their skills at plate spinning, unicycling and diablo throwing to name but a few! What a fantastic way to bring together all the areas of their current topic!
YR had excellent adventures today on their trip to Redwood. They searched for woodland creatures, explored the woods and enjoyed the great outdoors! A grand day out!
Our Y5 and Y6 children welcomed some visitors from a school in Japan this afternoon. They gave them tours of our school and took part in workshops to learn about some aspects of Japanese culture.
